The SALTAF™ committee is responsible for planning the annual literary and theater arts themed festival, which is usually held around October or November of each year. SALTAF™ is one of NetSAP-DC's biggest and most attended flagship events each year.

This year SALTAF™ will be held on November 15, 2008 in the Baird Auditorium at the National Museum of Natural History of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

SALTAF™ 2008 marks the fifth year that NETSAP-DC is partnering with the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program. SALTAF™ began in 2000 as a medium for discussion of the South Asian Diaspora. This discussion has since grown into a yearly celebration of South Asian creative talent. The festival has established itself as one of the premier showcases for South Asian themed literary works and theater arts appreciation nationwide. SALTAF™ provides authors, playwrights, literary and theatre professionals the opportunity to interact with their audience.

Book lovers, cinema fans and all those interested in the South Asian culture can explore the creative process with professional artists and discover outlets for their own creative aspirations.
