As NetSAP-DC’s 2007 Networking Committee Chairs, we plan to have a very successful year full of great events that will provide our members the opportunity to meet new people, learn new things, and have a good time in general.

By building on the ideas of the past networking committees while incorporating our own new ones, we plan to make each and every one of our events a success. We will listen to everyone’s’ interests and cater accordingly with networking nights and other special events that appeal to everyone!

Continuing the NetSAP-DC tradition, on the third Thursday of each month, we will host a Networking Night at a local Third Thursday establishment (club, lounge, bar, coffee house, etc) in conjunction with another South Asian professional organization. Members and non-members will have the opportunity to chat, mingle, and build contacts with other South Asian professionals in the DC area.

Other planned events include:

Sports Nights – An event where sports fans get to watch and cheer on their favorite teams together at a local bar
South Asian COOKING 101 - An event where people will have the opportunity to learn how to cook some traditional South Asian dishes.

We plan on having one special networking night each month in addition to the regularly scheduled Third Thursday Networking Night.
