The NetSAP DC Ninth Annual Charity Gala will be held on Saturday July 22, 2006 at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Tickets are on sale now! For more information about the event or to purchase tickets, visit the Charity Gala website.

PROFESSIONAL COMMITTEE: Kaplan Kicks Off NetSAP DC’s Connect for Success Series

 

NetSAP DC has teamed up with Kaplan Test Prep to take a closer look at the admissions process. The group will be holding two events - a Business Forum and Law Forum have been scheduled for late July, 2006 (dates and times TBD). The new partnership with Kaplan will include member exclusive discounts and Free Admissions to workshops.

CHARITY GALA SILENT AUCTION: NetSAP DC Ninth Annual Charity Gala, Saturday, July 22, 2006, 7:00pm

This year’s Charity Gala will include a Silent Auction, featuring gifts from a variety of local businesses. If you are interested in donating an item or service for the Charity Gala or would like to help put together the Silent Auction, please contact president@netsap.org.

 

Proceeds from the Gala, including the Silent Auction, will benefit three wonderful charities whose work is invaluable in terms of providing disaster relief (The American Red Cross International Relief Fund), literacy (First Book) and hunger relief (The Akshaya Patra Foundation) to those in need in the South Asian nations.

SALTAF’06 COMMITTEE: Planning Meeting, Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at 7:00pm

The SALTAF Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating all details involved with the phenomenally successful South Asian Literary and Theater Arts Festival. This is an annual event hosted at the Smithsonian and it features prominent South Asian writers, filmmakers and artists and draws hundreds of South Asians from across the East Coast to DC each fall. SALTAF provides authors, filmmakers, literary and theatre professionals the opportunity to interact with their audience. Bibliophiles, cinema fans and young professionals can explore the creative process with professional artists and discover outlets for their own creative aspirations. SALTAF celebrates the achievements of South Asians in the literature and arts and it has become one of NetSAP DC's most recognized and renowned flagship events.

We are still looking for volunteers to work on our website and flyers / promotional material. Please email saltaf@netsap.org for more information.

The Indian Tennis Association is conducting its 4th Annual Tennis Tournament at Jefferson District Park, Falls Church, VA on July 8, 9 & July 15, 2006.
