The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden includes an intriguing mix of 20th century sculpture. The sculptures are arranged among trees and shrubs in a large circle, which allows for a unique presentation of the mostly oversized, abstract works. Pieces by Alexander Calder and Joan Miro, as well as Barry Flanagan's version of the Thinker are included.

Ninth Annual Charity Gala, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 7:00 pm.
NetSAP DC invites you to attend its Ninth Annual Charity Gala, being held at the Corcoran Gallery of Art on July 22, 2006 at 7:00pm. This year's event will include: a cocktail reception with tours of the art gallery; an elegant, three course gourmet meal prepared by one of the finest chefs in DC; a keynote address by successful entrepreneur, Desh Deshpande; presentations of awards to outstanding young South Asians, and live music performed by renowned local South Asian musicians.
The Gala benefits three charities whose work is invaluable in terms of providing disaster relief (American Red Cross), literacy (First Book) and hunger relief (The Akshaya Patra Foundation) to those in need in the South Asian nations. Visit our website for details about the program for the evening.
